Curatorial Practices in Historical Turn
He Yining is a curator and researcher with a variety of interests, which include but are not limited to how the practitioner responds to historical issues and events while challenging the historical and current narrative in work, how the practitioner refers to and calls upon historical materials (documents, artefacts, photographic archives), and activate these materials into a new language.
This lecture will present three curatorial cases that focus on historical narrative, including A Fictional Narrative Turn (2016 JIMEI × ARLES International Photography Festival, Xiamen), The Abode of Anamnesis (2019, OCAT Institute, Beijing) and The Port and the Image: The Echoes of Ports (2022, China Port Museum, Ningbo). She will talk about how she uses curation to study the relationship between histories and contemporary art practice and stimulate new knowledge around these discussions through seminars, publications and the commissioning of art projects.

作为一名策展人与研究者，何伊宁过往的研究兴趣包括但不限于：当代艺术的实践者如何回应历史问题和事件，同时挑战历史和当下的叙事；实践者如何参考和调用历史材料（文献、文物、摄影档案），并在创作中激活这些材料，并转化为新的语言。
本讲座围绕何伊宁聚焦历史叙事的三个策展实践——包括“虚构的叙事转向”（2016 JIMEI × ARLES国际摄影节，厦门）、“记忆寓所”（2019年，OCAT研究中心，北京）和 “港口与影像：港口的回声”（2022年，中国港口博物馆，宁波），谈论她如何利用策展来研究历史和当代艺术实践之间的关系，并通过研讨会、出版物和艺术项目的委托来激发围绕这些讨论的新知识生产。
