If construction is the art of using parts to create a meaningful whole, then architectural photography in the narrow sense of the word is to reproduce the whole or part of the space with the help of light and shadow and the visual language; in a broader context, photography that takes architecture as a topic has always had a huge discursive space for social engagement, visual research and artistic expression, playing an important role in constructing memory and history, critiquing power and expansion, and shaping meaning and creativity.
